About Tiered Pricing

We offer this structure for our programs, recognizing that the financial resources of people vary. You choose the level you contribute, and it helps make our programs available to more people. Simply speaking, those with more abundant resources help those with less.

The simple version:

Tier 1 - lower income or experiencing unemployment, or other financial challenges

Tier 2 - represents the cost of running the program

Tier 3 - households with abundant financial resources help us support others

NO one turned away for lack of funds. Get in touch!

A great model to consider is the "green bottle" to the left, where Tier 3 would be the "full" bottle, Tier 2 in the middle, and Tier 1 on the right.

We encourage you to meditate on this and your current financial situation, and register for a program at the level that feels most true for you. We don't ask for proof or evidence.

Our approach to learning

We are all students, and we are all teachers. Unfortunately for many of us, our society and culture have not honored this wisdom in each person, instead propping up "experts" who have all the answers.

Beware of folks in the agroforestry, mushroom, and farming space who project knowing the best way to do things - this is only something you can figure out. Seek out those who are not afraid to acknowledge failures, remain skeptical and critical, and openly say "I don't know" sometimes.

Our learning programs aim to create a safe container for all people to learn; this is achieved in the culture we create, the ways we facilitate, and the physical spaces we provide. We are not interested in lecturing or talking "at" participants, but rather we try to engage in thoughtful dialogue, where we might find more questions than answers. Together, we can learn and grow our skills.

Our children’s programs are engaging, participatory experiences, designed to foster curiosity, creativity, confidence, and connection to other people and the earth.

We value, honor, and support the unique differences of all people, and welcome participants of all races, colors, religions, genders, abilities, and national origins.
