We are a family stewarding twenty acres of pasture and woods in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York.
We publish regularly on both our Substack and our community newsletter.

Our farming practices are rooted in respect for the ecosystems we inhabit, and in the belief that healthy soils, forests, and watersheds support healthy people. Mushrooms and trees are at the heart of our farm.
We grow a diverse range of culinary and medicinal mushrooms, all Certified Naturally Grown and cultivated with the highest standards of quality. From these, we craft mushroom extracts, powders, and offer mushroom grow kits and hands-on workshops to help others learn to grow and work with fungi.
We are actively growing tomorrow’s forests. Through ongoing tree planting and restoration work, we’re cultivating silvopasture systems where sheep and chickens graze and help cycle fertility, while young trees anchor long-term resilience. Much of our research focuses on willow, elderberry, and other species with potential to support livestock, pollinators, and a regional agroforestry economy.
Our farm animals, perennial plantings, herbal tea sprays, and mulching all play a critical role in managing pests and supporting soil and plant health in these integrated systems. We grow an array of tree fruits and berries on a small-scale, mostly for family and friends, and CSA members when quantity allows.
Sharing what we learn is central to our mission. Through books, workshops, online courses, kids programs, and consulting, we help others understand the landscape more deeply, design agroforestry and mushroom growing systems, and facilitate meaningful dialogue around land stewardship and community goals.
And for those wishing to experience the land firsthand, we welcome guests to stay in our on-farm accommodations, in either our straw bale cottage or yurt, and explore the forest, fields, and fungi that shape our work through tours and workshops.
Together, these pieces form one living system—food, medicine, trees, animals, and people—growing in reciprocity with this place we call home.
