2024 MUSHROOM CSA

Mushrooms are a delicious and incredibly nutritious food & medicine. We grow blue oyster, king oyster, lion's mane, shiitake, along with other species on logs from sustainable materials. When available, we also forage wild mushrooms and share them with members.

The mushrooms we harvest are packed with antioxidants, vitamins B &D, Iron and are one of the few foods with a complete amino acid profile.

Regular fresh mushroom consumption offers your body a potent “adaptogen” which supports and balances your immune system.

**lots NEW this year!**

We are now Certified Naturally Grown.

Our practices have always been centered on regeneration of soil and ecosystems, and reducing our ecological footprint. We just have the process to prove it! This peer-to-peer farmer certification process is amazing - and our farmer friend Paul @ Sweetland helped certify us!

Launching a Recipe and Info Hub

We get lots of interesting questions on species info, cooking tips, recipes, and preserving mushrooms and are going to be launching an online hub where all this info can live and you can also ask questions and share your own recipes. Will be ready for Spring share members!

Spring Soft relaunch - we need your support!

We have been busy renovating an additional production space, which will allow us to produce more varieties and engage in more research and education around mushrooms and fungi. In addition to fresh mushrooms, we will be offering workshops, tours, and grow-your-own kits.

This change has also meant a later start date, and the need for Spring shareholders to be flexible as we might have to shift dates/yields as we start back up. This is a chance to step up and support the reality of running a small farm! We are doing a flat rate for this shorter, 8 week season.

New Ithaca Location: Wide Awake Bakery Store!

We have so appreciated the willingness of Mama Goose to host our mushrooms, but are switching the Ithaca pick up to a more food-adjacent friend: Wide Awake Bakery at their store location in the Franklin Plaza

Those who can afford to pay more support our ability to provide for others in our community who cannot. We also offer payment plans to work with your budget which just requires a deposit. See more about this at the bottom of the page.

A portion of our revenue is donated to support the traditional people whose lands we farm on, the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫʼ (Cayuga Nation) to their legal defense fund.

About Our Tiered Pricing

We offer this option recognizing the financial resources of folks vary. You choose the level you contribute, and as a whole it helps make our farm run. The simple version:

Tier 1 - lower income or experiencing unemployment, or other financial challenges

Tier 2 - represents the cost of running the program

Tier 3 - households with abundant financial resources help us support others

NO one turned away for lack of funds, get in touch!

A great model to consider is the "green bottle" below, where Tier 3 would be the "full" bootle, Tier 2 in the middle, and tier 1 on the left side.
